My latest aventures in Mexico City, San Francisco and the upcoming stay in Austin and San Francisco again, were possible thanks to my credits in Kindred – so I am staying in better places, paying less money and enjoying the cities like a local.
Kindred is a home-swap platform. And I am in love with it and the community!
I been using the platform for exactly a year, and it’s one of the best things that happen in my 10 years career of traveling around the world! Because it allow me to travel and stay like a local, in a place better than a hotel and more comfortable than a Airbnb. Is absolutely the best solution for a traveller like me.
How Kindred works? It’s pretty simple, there are two modes: 1) you can swap simultaneously or b) you can host or get hosted without doing a simultaneous swap.
If you host someone, you need to give your full house and you will earn 1 credit per night the person stay at your place. If you get hosted it will cost you 1 credit for each night. There’s no monetary transactions between the parties. Kindred make a little money out of it for connecting and facilitate the things.
In any case, you give or get the full house, not shared. So it’s amazing a private. At the end of the day the house owner has the control to accept or not who stays. First you open your calendar for swapping or host, and depending on that you start getting applications, and the final word is yours.
So far I stayed in Kindred properties in:
- Manhattan, NY
- Copenhagen, Denmark
- Stockholm, Sweden
- Helsinki, Findland
- Amsterdam, Netherlands
- Tulum, Mexico
- Mexico City, Mexico
- San Francisco, CA
If you want to try it out, I can gift you 5 FREE nights to stay anywhere plus skip the waitlist using this link: https://livekindred.com?invite_code=MAT.MOI or use the code MAT.MOI at the signup process.
