Happy New Year! What exciting things do you think 2020 will bring to your life? Not only a new decade is a good time to set up some personal and professional objectives for your life, but it is always a milestone that you can use as a reference date.
Can you believe we are on the Mid-January already? New Year Eve seemed to be like three days ago for me. Time flies!
Ten years is enough time to change a lot of aspects in your life, in your business, in your career, in your relationships and so. Once Bill Gates says:
Most people overestimate what they can do in one year and underestimate what they can do in ten years.
A new decade has begun and I am very optimistic about the next ten years. Here are a few of my thoughts for the upcoming decade.
Electric cars are around the corner and it would be a matter of time to most countries start implementing this kind of vehicles for particulars and companies, however, I don’t think we are going to be able to reach more than 20% of global adaptation for this vehicles in the next 10 years. A 20% would be a huge win for emission-free cars and trucks.
World Peace. I strongly believe that right now we are living one of the most peaceful times in the whole history of the human race. But for our modern society, it is not enough. We started 2020 with conflicts between Iran and USA. We are going to have a few conflicts like these during the new decade.
After a few conflicts, we are going to start regulating even more and be open to collaborating between the countries. However, our conflicts will stop being bellies but new conflicts for information and data from the individuals, companies, and government are going to become the new standard. North Korea will open the border and millions of people are going to leave the country.
I can think of an AI-bubble near to close the decade as a part of full adoption and a deep understanding of how it works and the useful impact that can have in our society. Major public companies on the AI field listed on NASDAQ will lose a big market cap from one day to the other, it may be possible due to a scandal.
Malaria, Ebola, and HIV are going to be almost eradicated and hard to spread on newborns. Poor countries are going to have easy ways to access water, public health, vaccines, education, and the Internet. However this decade is going to be for the people who live in poor countries, but corruption and other problem will remain in those countries.
Anyway, this article was to write some of my beliefs for this new decade, and I am aware that I have a positive vision for the upcoming world. What are your thoughts?
